April 2, 2009 Chris Hornbecker / “The Inside Light”

OgilvyWest SF kicked off its Gallery Series with the luminous work of Photographer Chris Hornbecker. His project, “The Inside Light”, explores vision and how it’s reflected in the creative process. Ogilvy created an interactive iPhone installation to compliment the work.

“The Inside Light”
Everyone’s got one. Call it intuition, perspective, inspiration. Whatever the word – it’s that light inside that shapes our vision and fuels our creativity. For some it’s core to who they are. For others it’s just another subtle detail in their continually evolving story. No two are the same. It’s those differences that we find so interesting.

iPhone Installation
Ogilvy wanted to engage people further with “The Inside Light”, so we created an interactive projection and invited people to share their own word of inspiration. Anyone could walk up, write whatever they felt on their iPhone, and see it projected alongside the words of others. All in real-time. All without downloading an App.
